DIY Soak & Scrub

Being human can be messy sometimes! There are seasons in our life we find ourselves spinning due to over-commitment, being stretched too thin and end up drained.

So, if you or someone you love is going through one of these tough times, a time where it all just feels like too much, call up your girlfriends for a night out, call in sick to work or take a long relaxing bath.

I have always loved soaking in the tub and feel completely renewed after them. This at-home DIY soak and scrub smells like cookies and will make you feel like a new woman! Whip a batch of these and pass them around to your friends. I promise they will thank you for it.

Scrub:                                                                   Soak:

2/3 c brown sugar                                            1 c coarse sea salt

1/3 c ground oats (grind in a blender)     1 c Epsom salt

6 tblsp almond or coconut oil                      1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp vanilla extract

Combine in a bowl and stir well. Transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Keep in a cool, dark place. Will last for several months.

We hope you give this DIY a try and share your creation with us!

XO, Ashton

After moving back to my small East Texas hometown, starting a job in the corporate world and marrying my High School sweetheart all within a 6 month span, I began looking for a creative outlet. I love hosting and planning events, so much that I even received a Professional Event Management Certification at Texas A&M, so *poof* Sister Sage Co was born. Read More…
