I have been SO excited to create this Valentine’s Day table for so many reasons. The main one being the fact that I LOVE brunch. Seriously, my girlfriends and I could eat a huge brunch every day and just snack for the remainder of the day. Even though more than half of us hate the actual word ‘brunch’! Kind of like how some people hate the word ‘moist’. Yes, that is so strange, but if you have a word fetish you know exactly what I am talking about!
Anywho, the second reason I am squealing about this tablescape is, of course, all of the shades of pink and detail, detail, detail. Who says you have to have a humungo spread to make it seem detailed? I feel like most of the tables you find on Pinterest and in magazines are crazy over the top and full of things that are just not practical. Less is more people, always.
For instance, the table runner was simply craft paper I used to wrap a few gifts this Christmas and we painted some white X’s and O’s on it for an added level of detail. Cute and very inexpensive!
And yes, it is a New Year so we are trying to be good, hence the fruit tray. It was gorgeous, and I whipped up this delicious 3 ingredient fruit dip that you have to try! When it is actually Valentine’s Day I am hoping I will be more in the healthy groove and it won’t be too hard to turn down that box of chocolates.
I can not wait to hear what you all think of this Valentine’s Day themed ‘I Love You A Brunch’! Tell me some of the parties you have had in the past for V-Day.
P.S. Yes, I am addicted to miniature pancakes. (:
