Rope Wrapped Planters

I love repurposing things that I already have and transforming them into something new. We recently stained our porch and I am in love all over again. Instead of going and buying all new décor, I have set a goal to give my porch a fresh new look with things I already have. Such as buying new pillow sleeves for my outdoor pillows, spray painting my sides tables and repotting plants that made it threw the winter in these super cute and easy rope wrapped planters! They are very easy to do and give such a fun nautical look to your old planters.

Things you will need:

Hot glue gun

Plants of your choice

Plastic planters

Potting soil

Rope

Scissors

1.    Begin by wiping down your planters to ensure you have all dirt removed, this will ensure your hot glue will stick.

2.    Turning your planter open side down, begin hot gluing the rope around the planter.

3.    Once you have your entire planter encircled with rope, flip the planter open side up and inspect the top. I added another layer of rope on the rim to fully cover the old planter.

4.    Then the fun part begins! Fill in your planters with new bloom or give new life to plants that made it threw the cold season.

We hope you give this DIY a try and share your creation with us!

XO, Ashton

After moving back to my small East Texas hometown, starting a job in the corporate world and marrying my High School sweetheart all within a 6 month span, I began looking for a creative outlet. I love hosting and planning events, so much that I even received a Professional Event Management Certification at Texas A&M, so *poof* Sister Sage Co was born. Read More…
