True Southern Entertaining

Salty, Sweet & Semi-Homemade Cookies

I love that there is a day designated to the special men in our lives to express how much we love and appreciate them. My Dad’s birthday is exactly a week after Father’s Day, so we usually combine them to make it an extra special day!

I do feel like Father’s Day has snuck up on me this year though, and I did not prepare a gift guide to share, BUT I have created some last-minute gift ideas that are so simple to recreate. (If you follow me on Instagram @sistersageco I have shared these ideas on my stories also!) So, scroll down to see the list of ideas, but not before you see the best semi-homemade sweet & salty peanut butter cookies that I promise your Dad will love!

Years ago, my Mom and I visited the cutest bakery in downtown Lufkin, Texas while prom dress shopping and I fell in love with this cookie. It was a peanut butter cookie filled with pretzels, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and topped off with coarse salt. They were the most satisfying mix of salty and sweet, I could not wait to recreate them.

My name is Ashton Clark and welcome to my entertaining blog Sister Sage Co! I am so happy that you have stopped by and I hope you have found some inspiration for your next event.
After moving back to my small East Texas hometown, starting a job in the corporate world and marrying my High School sweetheart all within a 6 month span, I began looking for a creative outlet. I love hosting and planning events, so much that I even received a Professional Event Management Certification at Texas A&M, so *poof* Sister Sage Co was born. Read More…
