True Southern Entertaining

Sprinkle Dipped Ice Cream Cones

For lots of you, Labor Day marks the end of Summer and a day off.  Which in theory is mostly true. It is a day set aside to pay tribute to our working men and women. So why would you be “working” on your day off to come up with a complicated dessert to make for your neighborhood cookout? I don’t know about you, but on my day off I won’t be caught dead in a grocery store or killing myself in the kitchen. You can find me poolside, drink in one hand and a trashy magazine in the other catching up on the latest royal rumors. Total relaxation mode.

These little-dipped ice cream cones are perfect for that cookout or to enjoy by the pool with the kids. Simply take your waffle cones and dip them in a little melted chocolate and let them set in the freezer for about an hour before serving them up with ice cream.

Of course, I had to fit the theme and roll them in these adorable red, white and blue Fancy Sprinkles! BTW – If you have not checked out their inventory you must! I am not a huge sprinkles person, but I will make an exception for these guys. Not only are they so dang cute, but so yummy! ( They also make vegan sprinkles! )

Have a happy and relaxing Labor Day everyone!

XO, Ashton

P.S. Bring on the pumpkin spice everything!!

About Sister Sage Co.

My name is Ashton Clark and welcome to my entertaining blog Sister Sage Co! I am so happy that you have stopped by and I hope you have found some inspiration for your next event.
After moving back to my small East Texas hometown, starting a job in the corporate world and marrying my High School sweetheart all within a 6 month span, I began looking for a creative outlet. I love hosting and planning events, so much that I even received a Professional Event Management Certification at Texas A&M, so *poof* Sister Sage Co was born. Read More…
